Animation

I’ve decided to add a separate tab just for my animation. That way you don’t have to search through my blog to see my work, or lack there of. This will also motivate me to start working on my animation more regularly. My goal will be to submit a bit of animation practice at least once a week if not more. Please remember, the main purpose for this blog is to keep track of my animation progress. I’m still learning. I am at the extreme beginning phase, so I would love any suggestions that would help me improve. Also, at the very beginning I was using Benettonplay’s Flipbook, but the rest were animated using Toon Boom.

01/08/09 Another attempt concocted purely from my mind. I like this one, but I need to work on it more.

01/05/09 An attempt not using any tutorial for guidance. Notice my horrible timing.

12/12/08 An attempt following an exercise from Tall Grass Studios.

09/21/08 This is the last time you should see me using Benettonplay’s Flipbook because I have Toon Boom Studio now. This is just another practice of a bouncing ball. The ball looks better in this one technically because I just used a big dot to animate, rather than drawing out the ball as I did in the previous one. I actually prefer the charm of the previous one though.

09/21/08 I finally bought Richard Williams’ “The Animators’ Survival Kit.” Thank god.

09/19/08 Here is an example of a really bad walk animated by me using the Tony White book for guidance.

09/19/08 Here I applied what I learned from the eye blink exercise to a full face.

09/19/08 An eye blink attempt using the same tutorial from Tony White’s book.

09/19/08 Head turn attempt following a tutorial from Tony White’s “The Animators’ Workbook.”
